From north to south, Germany stretches 876 km from the Baltic and North Seas to the Alps and 640 km from east to west. On its territory there are 4 climatic zones:
1. Continental climate with long cold winters, hot summers and little rainfall in the east of the country.
2. Oceanic mild and rainy next to the North Sea. At the Baltic - the weather is colder and the precipitation is less.
3. The central and southern part of the country is located in the mountains and the climate is mainly continental with severe winters and very hot summers. But closer to Bavaria, more precipitation will fall, more often thunderstorms and less temperature difference.
