Kramatorsk is a beautiful city with a rich history. It was founded in 1868 on the bank of the Kazenny Torets river. The beginning of the existence of Kramatorsk as a city is closely connected with the construction of the Kursk-Kharkov-Azov railway.

Modern Kramatorsk - disposes to itself. Here, you want to look at the historical monuments of the city and just enjoy the streets and nature.

Kramatorsk - industrial, is the center of mechanical engineering. A sufficient number of factories and factories are located in the city.

 

Every tourist should definitely visit the Regional Landscape Park. It should be noted that this attraction is an object of the natural reserve fund of Ukraine.

The landscape park will delight the tourist with a beautiful lake, where you can see swans, a section of the steppe, with many different species of insects and a sufficient variety of rare plants.

Must-see sites are “Rock-like outcrop of the Upper Cretaceous” and “Pchelkinsky petrified trees”.

 

Museum of retro cars. It is definitely worth a visit to every tourist. Here you can find cars from the 1920s-1940s of such well-known companies as Ford, Tatra, BMW, MercedesBenz, Opel, Willys, etc.

All presented cars are special and carry hysterical value, and not only are a work of engineering art. At one time, cars were the property of famous people at that time and were witnesses of important historical events.

 

Museum of the history of the city with two exhibition halls - ethnography and paleontologists. Since 2017, visitors can see with their own eyes - the skeleton of a mammoth, collected from fossilized bones that were found on the territory of Ukraine and from the city of Kramatorsk itself. Master classes, interesting literary meetings, and thematic excursions are often held here.

 

The house with the observatory is the house of the Kramatorsk doctor Vladimir Lenkevich. It was built in 1926 of gray brick, with a cylindrical tower and a green metal dome with a spire.

Lenkevich was fond of astronomy and loved to observe the stars, a telescope was installed on the top of the tower at that time (in our time, unfortunately, the observation mechanism cannot be seen).

 

The Bantyshev estate is one of the oldest landmarks of the city, which keeps many secrets and mysteries. The walls of this house are built of layered sandstone, which allows maintaining a good view of the house to this day. The estate is famous for its ancient wine cellars. They begin in the house itself, and they are located tens of meters to the lake, where in our time you can meet swans.

 

Kramatorsk Art Museum is the cultural center of the city, where an inquisitive tourist can get acquainted with many works of painting, sculpture, graphics and arts and crafts.

 

Bernadsky Garden is a beautiful city park with its own history. Here you can have a rather exciting time, take a walk on the embankment, admire the view from unusual gazebos. Nowadays, the park is being transformed, and sports grounds for tennis, basketball and volleyball are being built there. Bernadsky's garden is actively planted with plants for the future arboretum.
